According to the packet, one or two tablets, up to three times a day. With or after food.

After my op. two weeks ago I was put on 600mg. four times in each 24 hour period, - a massive 2,400mg. I've now stopped but I'm still here and thriving.

The arthritis in my ankle was very painful yesterday. So much so that i could hardly move. I took 2 I ibuprofen this morning and it's much reduced.

you should only take 6 X 200 Mg in a day, however taking another dose wont harm you on a short term bases.

You are probably aware that you can also take these together with Paracetamol, or alternately every 2 hours to help with break through pain.

If this is a long term situation with your ankle, go see your GP for further advice on medication for pain relief.

Ummmm's comment is very relevant. I was given a huge box of 1000mg paracetamol by a Spanish doctor for a sore throat. I've not heard that those on the continent are dropping dead from painkiller abuse. We are very uptight about this stuff in UK IMO.

What for........arthritis? sprains?....and is it pain you want relieving or do you feel it will help relieving the pain?

It's arthritis and I'm guessing they'd be no good for that.

Well, I agree. I cannot see that it would do anything to relieve the pain...BUT....if you had problems "going over" on your ankle, then it might..just might help.
