What Mattress Would Work Best For Side Sleepers?

I'm a side sleeper myself, and I find my current mattress not very comfortable. I am not asking for some specific mattress. I'm not sure what else I need my new mattress to be, other than good for side sleepers. So, perhaps someone has some general advice?

Try many out in the shop (momentarily of course ;-) ) and choose one that suits.

I'd reckon a memory foam would be the first type to look at because lying on your side is more bumpy than lying on your back (or Gawd forbid, your front) so it'd make sense to find one that moulds to your hip and shoulder yet still supports well.

Most of the time I sleep on my side and have always slept on pure latex mattresses (eg Dunlopillo) and found them perfect (if expensive!).
I really don't like sprung or memory foam...this Which? guide may help...scroll down past the "sign-up" message.

There are many mattresses that would be good for side-sleepers like you.
