Have you ever been friends with someone for many years and then just decided to not continue the friendship? My best friend of 20 years was very rude to me around Christmas time (jealous of me working with someone else rather than her, even though she lives 3 hours away and I haven't seen her for 2 years). She gave a half apology by text but then went on to re-state all her arguments. I backed off for 4 months and now she is back, texting me and trying to make me feel guilty for not "trying" and still she refuses to let me discuss my work and my other friend. I can't censor my conversation depending on what she approves and disapproves of! Is it time to draw a line and say "no more"?

Seriously, if a friendship gets to become that much of a hassle, it ain't a friendship no more.
I would...
You give her a choice, Scarlett.....she can have Scarlett the friend who chats about her work and other friends......or no Scarlett......

Truly....if a friend's hard work for no good reason...then Rocky has said it....x
Time to apply the spanish archer....el bow.
I was friends with someone for over 30 years but suddenly realised that she only needed me when she wanted something that for her benefit. I have had arthritis for some years now but she never asked how I was when she phoned. She just launched into whatever it was that she wanted me to do for her. Anyway I stopped answering the phone and she eventually got the message. She phoned my daughter, ironically to ask if I was OK and my daughter put her straight. Probably the wrong way
of sorting things out but heyho!
