Sorry it's late, but in answer to your question about the chapel in the Lake District; the church you refer to is St. Peters-In-Martindale, located in a very isolated spot and very hard to find. We hold a memorial there every year, in late April/early May. There is a stained glass window dedicated to Lt. Cdr. William Parkin, FAA, who was from that area, and died on the Glorious. At one time, this was the only memorial in the country to commemorate the disaster. Our association has since placed memorials in various places including the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas, Portsmouth, Norway and St. Nicholas's Church in HMS Drake, Devonport. There is also a small addition to a stained glass window in the Church of The Holy Cross in Bearstead, Kent, and memorials in the Maritime Museum at Vittoriosa in Malta, as the largest loss of Maltese life at sea in WW2 was on HMS Glorious. There was tv documentary on Channel 4 in 1997, which is now fully available on You Tube, called The Tragedy of HMS Glorious.

Thanks Clarion, I have been to that chapel and i found it a very moving experience. Yes, I saw the documentary which introduced me to the topic of the Glorious and I will certainly remind myself with the U-tube presentation.
