How have these little swines affected you at different stages of your life, from puberty to menopause or anywhere in between?

I think this is an area of medicine / science which is completely under-explored.

That's the other thing, Gness, the lack of understanding and compassion and even the doubt that hormone issues exist. Hormonefordshire is not a fun place to live.

I only had hormone problems when I was on the pill in my 20's. I was like a raving lunatic, on top of the normal raving lunatic so not a great mix. How the OH stayed with me I'll never know.

Now late 40's I can feel a bit of a recurrence but do try to keep a lid on it, I walk away from everyone for a bit if I know I'll be horrible. Probably the menopause waiting to pounce.

I still resent the years I lost, NoM...and the clown I paid hundreds of pounds to for a consultation...

My dear.....he said....you see that door? Many of the women who come through it think they have problems like you.....they don't.....and you don't...it's your mind.....but we can help them and you of course.......I'll refer you to a psychiatrist.......!

NoM......I've been thinking.....especially since re-reading your 19.42 post...
I was fine until after my ectopic pregnancy......and from then on things just got worse.

"You'll be fine.......one ovary will do all that is needed" is what I was told.... that's not always so.

Don't let things get as bad as I did.....I was far too timid and started to believe what the doctors were fobbing me off with.

Just don't let hormonal imbalances spoil what you've waited so long for.... get it sorted!....Gx

Hormone imbalance was plaguing my life prior to the pregnancy, Gness, and was certainly what was causing my fibrocystic breast condition. For that reason I took Agnus castus and that is, in all probability, the thing responsible for my falling pregnant so quickly (the first month we tried). Many women with all manner of fertility problems report falling pregnant within a month of taking it.

Fibrocystic breast disease is said to regress during pregnancy and mine did - probably because I was producing more Progesterone - further reinforcing the theory that my breast condition was down to oestrogen dominance.

If my Nan died of a cancer which is only known to be caused by oestrogen dominance, then it was that that killed her .
