HI to anyone who can help , my partner aged 62' is going through hell we think a filling has fallen out as when he drinks or eats he is in agony the pain so bad we have no oil's of iodine etc., can does anyone know a good remedy appreciate and thank you.
I cannt add anythig new sadly, but would agree with suggestions to:
1) See a dentist ASAP
2) Take anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen in the meantime.
Not usually. There are many kinds of 'toothache' but the most likely diagnosis for the OP's symptoms is 'irreversible pulpitis' or 'acute apical periodontitis' for which DIY temporary fillings will have little effect. They are also very awkward to use. In my opinion, their best use is simply to fill the cavity to stop it traumatising a tongue or cheek.
J9Pur nice to see you advising
and thanks for the info
and altho thingers conts have been erased
having cancer and having had a dental abscess - the abscess was most painful. ( much more painful than a ruptured ear drum )
