Pharmacy Mur
17 Answers
I picked up a repeat prescription this afternoon, and when I got home I was slightly annoyed that I had only got 2/3 of the amount I had asked for, and which I had been getting for a few years. I then noticed a sticker with MUR on it. I've just googled it and found it's supposedly "a service to help patients manage their medication". The amount I requested is the amount the Dr prescribed.
I remember the pharmacist asked me last time I picked up if I always take the whole amount. I said "Not always. Sometimes [2/3]." It seems that he has now decided to cut my meds according to my response and carried out an MUR without my knowing. Is he allowed to do this? I only order when I'm running out, and not more than the Dr prescribed.

I'm annoyed the pharma didn't tell me what he doing when he asked the question.
Thank you, Mamya and JennyJoan.
I understand the concerned about drug wastage, but I don't waste them, as he could see if he looked at my dates of prescription requests.

trt, I don't know but the fees aren't to be sneezed at. 90p per prescription item; £2.50 per methadone administration (hand the measured dose to the patient and ensure it is taken); £20 for special medicine preparations
