About two years ago I was referred to the "pharmacist in my surgery" for a "talk".
I honestly do not know what this pharmacist does apart from talking.
if we want medicine then it is the GP or receptionist who doles the prescription.
No, he doesn't belong to the pharmacy "next door" etc.
Anybody know exactly what this guy does in the surgery. Thanks

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.From what I can remember during my brief period as a GPs receptionist, is that a pharmacist was employed for a few weeks now and then, with the intention of explaining to patients that if their meds were not the Trade name, but a generic name, they were still the same. Also, they were used to reassure patients if the doctor wanted them to change to a cheaper med, like from rabeprazole to omeprazole, for instance.
