Who Does Your Hair And Why
21 Answers
I usually go to someone who has a tiny salon in her garage, she used to come to the house but decided to do it this way instead. I'd much prefer it if she still came to the house but I've stuck with her.
Tomorrow, for a number of reasons, I'm having to go to a proper salon which I hate. I like my hair chopped off as quickly as possible, no shampooing or blow drying, just a dry cut, maybe a quick squirt to dampen it down, job done. Wash and dry at home. Not all hair salons will do this as they don't like you walking out of their establishment looking like Worzel Gummidge.
Are you a quick in and outer, or do you enjoy the salon experience?

I have little hair left now, but even when it/'s seriously short, if it grows out at all, it curls - I had wonderful long curly hair years ago!
I have been going there since it opened six years ago, I know the team, and we have a good laugh.
When time permits, I also love a shave on a Friday. My local Muslim barber does a face massage, three minutes lather, cut-throat shave, water spray, aftershave, nivea rub and another massage - takes about twenty minutes, costs £4. Serious bargain.

I go to the same hairdresser i have been going to for years. The lady who owns it is lovely. She takes and trains apprentices, they go to college on day release and one and all they are expert at their job. She also teaches them proper friendly polite customer service, they listen to what you are saying and give you the style you want not what they think you should have...if what you want won’t work then they will explain why and help you to decide what would work. I have got thinning hair which I like to keep short and cut in a shower and go styleso not the easiest job to do something flattering but they do.
I have a hairdresser come to my house. I hate salons and having to make small talk with someone I barely know so it suits me down to the ground. No trying to park or rushing home to do dinner or wasting a Saturday morning getting my hair done. She does the kids hair while she here as well so it's a double bonus for me.
