are killing me & I dont know why. I cant life a cup, pull open fridge door or press button on micro. I can barely type. I hold them up to ease the pain....any ideas?

I suspect that even the venerable Squad might require a bit more information here.

Is the pain in specific joints (if so, which ones) or, for example, is it just your skin which is super-sensitive?

Is the pain present all of the time, just when you touch something or only when you bend your fingers?

Is it an aching type pain or a tingling one?

Have you got any other medical conditions? Are you taking any medications?

Is this the first episode of pain, or have you had this before.
If this is a recurrence, then see your GP.
If this is the first time that this has happened, then take Ibuprofen 400mgms every six hours and monitor the situation.
Causes: from your description, impossible to say,many causes, but certainly no big deal at the moment.

My wife suffers nearly identical symptoms. After weeks of various painkillers, including opiates, which didn't work, an MRI revealed two swollen disks in here upper back. She's now on NSAIDs which have alleviated the symptoms to some extent.

My hands were killing me earlier too, but I eventually managed to get away; keeping a close eye on them now, and wearing a scarf to hide the bruising.
