All the advice given above is very wise - certainly trying to get back into your normal sleep pattern and doing what you normally at the usual times. Not to mention keeping well hydrated. There is some urban myth that, for every hour that you lose or gain on a transatlantic flight, it takes a day to g back to normal. When we flew back from San Francisco a couple of year ago, it took us the best part of a fortnight to get back to normal - before we stopped fallin asleep in the middle of the afternoon!
