Mole That's Black And Crusty

Have only been on holiday two days and yesterday I noticed that a mole which is on back of Mr Smows calf is black and crusty. Didn't used to look like that and isn't any bigger but definitely has changed.i casually asked him about to and he said oh it's been like that for years, but I know it hasn't. Is there anywhere/ service at all I can email a photo to for someone to have a look at as I'm worried and the chances of me getting him to see a doctor are about zero,,,,,

snowball - take a piccy - look for other photos you may have of the same area and compare. If you have no other piccys to compare still take a photo and when you get back get it checked out. I know someone with a similar black crusty wart - went to the Docs and was told that these type of warts were never serious - absolutely no worries.

If a mole changes size, shape or colour, oozes, bleeds or itches - see a doctor as soon as possible to get it checked out

Unlikely to be cancerous. But, if he isn't worried......what can you do?

Smowball, my dad had a black and crusty-looking mole that I was worried about. He did eventually see GP and then a dermatologist who said that that one was ok, but he examined the rest of dad's body and found some other dodgy ones which he removed.

It seems that the worst-looking ones aren't necessarily the ones we should be worried about.

Don't worry too much on your hols, but get him to a doc when you get home, just to be sure.

Cousin of ours had a mole, ignored it, got diagnosed in the November, and we were burying him the February afterwards.
Really eerie thing was, the baby I was carrying at the time was born the following autumn with a huge black mole in exactly the same place. He had to have it removed a few years later - just in case.
Creepy, wasn't it ?
