For the last few days i've been feeling light headed and dizzy, ever so slighly unbalanced, and going up or downstairs feels a bit weird, I feel ok in myself, no other symptoms. Is there anything I can do or is it advisable to see a doctor?

I will add that lately I've been drinking about a half pint of cold skimmed milk and cocoa (Bournville), no sugar just small teaspoon of honey, everyday.
How old are you?
Are being treated for any underlying disease process?
Are you taking any medication?

I'm coming up to 69 in 6 weeks, I am not being treated for anything else. I had heart attack in 2007 and had 2 stents fitted, i'm taking aspirin 75mg, Rampiril 10mg, simvastatin 40mg and bisoprolol 5mg, I recently had a blood test which came back as positive, this was part of my yearly check up.

I'm not overweight, 77 kilos, and keep fairly fit, brisk 30 minute walk most days and playing 'walking football' for 45 minutes a week, I dont drink tea or coffee or fizzy drinks and avoid sugar as much as possible and definitley no caffeine, I avoid red meat and each morning have a smoothie of, one banana, bluberries, ground almonds and oats with skimmed milk, this lasts me til late afternoon when I eat a main meal, I cook a lot and rarely have take aways or shop made food.

Clearly, you have coronary artery artery disease and it is being treated by conventional and well established regimes...beta blockers and tablets to reduce your BP and also statins.

Your symptoms may or may not be related to your existing problems.

Doesn't sound a big deal, but i would see your GP who will take a more in depth history and examine you.
could the BP be dropping too low Sqad..this happened to FIL..and his meds for BP were tweaked
Question Author
The nurse said my blood test came back 'clear', I assume that she means no issues. Thank you so much Sqad, I will try and get to see my GP, but in the current climate that is easier said than done!
murray....I can't think of anything better than your suggestion, although he has been on that BP lowering regime since 2007 ( I presume).
