Over the weekend, my partner was diagnosed with two stomach ulcers. While they were investigating, they also noticed an (apparently related) growth on his duodenum, which they biopsied via endoscope today and he will have results friday.

He has tested negative for H. Pylori. As far as the doctors are able to ascertain, these ulcers were entirely stress-induced. Unfortunately, they have also been unnoticed and untreated for several months, which had led them to believe the duodenum growth could be something nasty.

Obviously we are waiting for results, which none of you have access to. But for those of you with a more medical bent, are you able to offer an opinion on the chances that this is something serious? If so, is there a chance this could be life-threatening?
