I just wonder about the above as so many young people have got "sleeves" done - and pretty much all over their bodies.

When these young people get old - these tatoos will be horrendous on an old body.

What do you think.

It saves a lot of time getting to know who's a complete idiot so on balance, probably a good thing.
It tends to on a young body too. But this is one of those polarising subjects.
Thing is, as more and more of us get/have tattoos the sight of us oldies wearing them them will no longer be unusual.

And to be honest, how many old people do you see bearing the flesh anyway?
baring, not bearing!
it's always puzzled me why some numpty from england would want to look like a maori warrior

horrid things !
I love tattoos, mostly, depending what they are. Mine aren't that obvious, but I can't imagine i'll care more when i'm 70 about what other people might think.
I went to school with a girl who ended up with almost her entire body tattooed, she was in the national papers at one time. As we are now in our late 60's I will leave it to you to imagine how she looks now.
I speak to a lot of musicians - who tend to have tattoos - and one feature that emerges is that it can be addictive, you get one, you want more, so that is why people have quite a few it seems.

When I was a teenager, the only people who had tattoos were people in the forces, who usually had them done abroad when drunk, and prisoners.

But trends change, and as advised, I don't think anyone who has a tattoo thinks about how it will look in twenty years time.

Like an aging woman with tattoos? And?
Boo-exactly as jennyjoan said in her original post-horrendous.
Maybe, to you, but I and many others would just see an aging woman who happens to be tattooed which IMO isn't a massive deal.
perhaps a wee discreet bird..heart etc....not these sleeve things..must be painful to have done too ??
Yes, you're right. In fact they look horrible on the young as well as the old. They look especially horrible and masculine on girls. My daughter was going to get one, but thankfully, she changed their mind

I am a great believer in personal freedom which means that everyone can have an opinion on how other people choose to decorate their bodies, and to express it on a forum like this - but it is not appropriate to voice such an opinion to a compete stranger because it is their business, and theirs alone.
They are horrendous period.

It is a great help to my judgemental self, in that I can quickly determine who is not a full bob.
"Of easy access, physically filthy, uneducated, low social morals, drug takers, inferior sect of society, unruly, probably with a prison sentence......."
there you go that is my assessment of a tattooed person ....and that is just the men, do you want me to define my opinion of the tattooed woman?
lol Sqad..tell it how it is !!!
Sqad - Phew, for a minute there I thought you were going to be guilty of judging a book by it's cover!
