Ears Syringed Today Gone Totally Deaf 1 Ear

I have been experiencing earache really severe for a fortnight and GP said he could not see much because of the amount of wax to use drops for 5 days twice a day and go back today and get them syringed. Never had it done before, so I used the drops twice a day and went back today to get them syringed she tried 3 times each ear with warm water it was very nice actually not painful at all. But she looked in my ears and said I have a hard pea sized lump of wax in each ear and 2 use the drops again for 10 days and come back. The thing is when I left the nurse 1 hour ago I am completely deaf in my left ear and my right ear is muffled as I am typing this I can't hear a sound off the keyboard is this normal after syringing

Just give it a couple of days, Geordie. Maybe you still have some water behind the peas of wax. I expect it will trickle out when you sleep tonight.

My guess is your keyboard sound will return when your ears are cleared.

gordie...was thinking about you and that tissue in your pancreas which turned out to be innocent.
Yes, that is normal after an incomplete ear syringing. Next time should clear it.

IT was a benign Anomoly like me !! But it gave me a different outlook on life I got rid of all my anger and bitterness and I am a lot more positive life is too short

If you can find anyone who offers micro suction for your ears I would recommend it. Does not require you to have softened the wax like you need to do before syringing. It's a 5 minute procedure which is painless and immediately effective. The only down side is that it can be pricey. Good luck!
