Vitamin B Compound Strong

I've tried looking but have failed in a result.
Does this come in a coated formula as I find it disgusting and, perhaps, subconsciously seem to detect the taste and smell for the rest of the day. I accept that a coating may not address the secondary issue.

I agree, they can taste awful, and linger. But the capsules are ok. Solgar make them in tablet form. I take Alanerv , Bayer also make them in capsules. You could ask at the chemist.
How many strong is 'strong'?
Have you considered effervescent?
I've taken these and they don't taste too bad at all

I take B12 and B6 individually as oral spray and drops. You can get B complex in liquid or drops forms. Maybe this could be a option for you.

The "Vitamin B Compound Strong" tablets you refer to are properly known as "Vitamin B Tablets Compound, Strong" in the BNF. It is an official title for this particular tablet and can be recognised by pharmacists and doctors on the basis of this title alone.
The tablets each contain 20mg of Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3), 2mg of Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6), 2mg of Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and 5mg of Thiamine (Vitamin B1).
To be honest, they don't contain all the members of the Vitamin B group and have not changed in formulation for very many years. They were prescribable under this name when I was a lad and believe me, that was over 50 years ago!
There are lots of more modern and palatable alternatives nowadays, but they cannot be prescribed on a normal NHS prescription as they are regarded as being excessively expensive by the powers that be and the NHS will not support profiteering.
The following links will easily provide you with high strength vitamin B tablets that exceed the dose of the individual vitamins in your present tablets. These are not excessive doses as long as you follow the instructions closely. I am also assuming that you are taking these tablets on the advice of your GP for a recognised medical condition - vitamin supplementation is a debatable topic in otherwise healthy individuals. Nevertheless, you should certainly find them more palatable.

You may be able to find a cheaper supplier on the web - I've only done a quick search. Don't forget to follow the instructions closely and you should be ok.
With apologies to Sqad for overeaching into his zone of expertise!!

I take the same tablets. I don't know why they are so disgusting, and why are they brown? A light cream or pink would at least make them look a bit better.
Years ago I used to take a similar thing which was the size of a horse pill. It tasted just as bad and was gaggingly hard to swallow. I'm glad they're small now, at least.

Hi EcclesCake.
Thank you for your kind comments. My post was intended to tell you what the individual vitamins were in each of the "Vitamin B Compound Strong" tablets that you take daily. The figures I gave were the amount of each of the four vitamins that are in each of the tablets you take.
I was pointing out that instead of taking the prescribed tablets that you find unpalatable, you can safely try one of the alternative versions I provided the links to. I was not implying that you should take them as well as the ones you get from your doctor - you would take them instead of your present tablets. I was not advising you to split the component parts into individual tabs
Just one of the tablets daily that I provided the links to will give you more of the vitamins than are contained in the two tablets you are taking each day right now plus other B vitamins that you are not taking right now. If anything, you'll be rattling less!
