Bbc News - Or Entertainment?
5 Answers
'Tis going to the dogs, BBC News. First, as for many programmes, they rarely start on time. Once upon a time, a clock showed the countdown... Now, we have a roll and thump of drums when BBC News starts with the headlines - again barely 15 minutes later, again roll and thump. Auntie seems to think that a person's memory-span is so short! A pity we cannot just have The News, not Entertainment.

Thank you, _M, T, M, S_, for your contributions. All reflecting how I often feel.

_S: BBC do provide good coverage, but it is often *over-kill*. I would suggest they reduce staff flooding an overseas 'news' scene and give me 10% of what they save. That'd bolster my pension pot!
.
_Running programmes *on time*, as in the good ol' days, and getting rid of that thumping of drums and blast of trumpets would ease stress and reduce dB(A). Then have real news without reminders - our grey cells are quite capable of information-retention.
