Do you ever think - who actually are my real friends? And then when you think about it for a while, they're not actually your supposed 'best friends'. I'm a little confused at the moment x x x

ive had many friends in my life, but when my life has gone pear shaped i realise who were truly my friends, now i have one true friend, she has been my best friend for 20 years and has been there through everything.

I agree with that.  My supposed 'best friend' and I don't have what i consider a good friendship.  We'll probably always talk to each other about big important life stuff but the big issues seem to get in the way of the fun, sociable side.  Rather than have a fun girly night in getting tipsy on wine and talking about sex and men we end up getting very deep and probing into each others life.  It's a different kind of friendship I suppose, but I'm more comfortable with light, fun conversations and unplanned meetings.

me and my best friend dont speak that often anymore but when anything is wrong she is there by my side when i need her most!!
