You can't ban religion but you can ban faith schools and it should be done immediately. No permissions should be given for any new religious buildings either particularly mosques.
It would never work. You'd have riots in the streets. everyone has the right to believe whatever they like, personally I think it's all a load of tripe, but that is my privilege.
No a great idea really is it ? extremists and mad men..and women cause trouble ..not religion per se....responsibility for discipline and moral education lies at home....not at school...
Banning a religion is a bit... well... communist for my taste. I don't want to live in a country that locks people up for their faith like the old Soviet Union did.
Banning religious education though is another matter entirely. Let's please get rid of faith schools. They are an engine for social division today and they are not worth the cost they spare the education system.
My Granddaughter attends a religious school simply because it is by far the best school in the area. Very many people feel the same.
We are happy with the small amount of religious content in the curriculum.
do such things as Faith schools still exist ? they seem to be a thing of the past up here..fewer convent schools for girls than there were and the rules for secondary schools as far as religious following do not appear to be as much a consideration as the performance tables ???
You cannot ban religious education but examine what and how it is taught keep the syllabus on Christians themes. As to the bunch of cowards who carried out and sponsored the Manchester Bombing their time in this country should be over. Immediately somebody is suspected of any connection to terrorism radicalisation they should be deported immediately and of course all benefits they are receiving from the government repaid.
We need more border agency staff and more border agency cutters to prevent e plosives coming into the country. Perhaps Mr Corbyn and his leftie loonies will now condemn terrorist action or will he refer to them as freedom fighters. Whatever happens action must be swift Agaonst these people and their supporters.
Faith schools certainly do still have a place in the UK and they educate a significant % of the population

I suspect some on here are talking about 'Faith Schools' when thay actually mean Muslim schools!
My Granddaughter attends a 'Catholic' faith school , Christian Faith Schools form by far the largest sector in the UK.
