Hopefully you have been to a doctor and s/he has prescibed pain killers and anti inflammatary tablets as needed. Ensure that you take them. Swimming is a very good exercise for arthritis in the hip as it allows exercise without your hip having to hold your weight...My arthritic hip was fixed by a replacement..I tried the usual remedies but I think that they only help rheumatoid arthritis not mine which was osteo.
