TV has always been full of non hetrosexuals (Frankie Howerd, Charles Hawtrey, Kenneth Williams etc) it's just that people didn't realise it. TV would certainly have been the worse without them.

If it's not Channel four pushing it at you continually then some other channel is continually telling us how wonderful women are (presumably compared to everyone who isn't a woman). TV gone mad these days.
