Know there are probably lots of reasons why I shouldn't but we live in the countryside and they deserve a break. Find it quite soul-afirming and watching the cubs rolling over with each other is just lovely.

Me too Pasta. Foxes are beautiful, intelligent and resourceful. Unlike whichever cat has just fallen off he back of my sofa.

You were right to, they need a break, I had a fox brush past me once, she/he was just beautiful, I have a hedgehog though, she eats all my snails - she's a great little gardener . Urban wildlife, looking forward to watching the BBC documentary soon on life and death in your back garden, I know it will be brilliant

There are foxes near me but I don't feed them as there are plenty natural sources for them luckily.

Ive been feeding a vixen with cubs since oct, she had bad mange when she first turned up so we cured that, we've wormed her and fleaed her, i can feed her by hand and she has her own facebook page with loads of photos and videos.

I have my hedgehog, sparrows, blackies (one who follows me in the back door!), 2 plump pidgeos and some collared doves.

Someone I know about 15 - 20 miles away has deer, pinemarten and badger in his garden!

We put dried hedgehog food out for our prickly friends before the weather picked up and the slugs turned up and our neighbours saw a fox eat some of the food. She then picked the ceramic dish up and walked away with it. We assumed she had cubs to feed.
