According to a guy that I was talking too, he claims that he knows people who knowledgable in the fields of Psychology/sociology without reading textbooks, watching videos such as lectures or studying etc. How is that possible?

I think that some people are more tuned into body language, facial expressions and personalities. They know quite a lot about people but not the medical-type stuff.

We are animals like the rest and we do things for a reason - people do good deeds for purely selfish reasons and others do bad things but for not-so-bad reasons.

Perhaps the people he knows impress him - but that doesn't mean they're truly knowledgeable in those areas.

According to the guy, He was reading a book by Whitney Phillips and she said that Internet trolls and people like them have a good grasp on psychology and sociology without doing any coursework. The guy said that it is possible through extended observation and interaction.

But surely you need to know the names of such body, eye and facial language such hands in pocket meaning negative coquetry (bad manners, awkwardness, etc depending on context) to be able to identity them.

According to another person, the intellectual gifted are born with such knowledge.
