Power Cut Today.

The power went off about 2.00 pm this afternoon. I checked the meter, no power going to it at all. Wasn't sure who to phone. Eventually rang Scottish Power. They gave me a phone number. I rang, on hold 12 minutes. They took all details, said no one else around here had a problem. Said an engineer will come but will phone me first. He rang about 20minutes later.
Had a few questions, it sounded like he was just a few houses away when he said he couldn't call on us as we were from a different supplier. But he would try over the phone. Asked me to look at fuse box. Nothing had tripped. Asked me to unplug every appliance which I did. Gave me another number to ring. Firstly I checked with neighbours, no one else had a problem. OH decided to look at fuse box. Main switch was showing as off. I didn't spot that. He switched it to on and everything came back on. No idea how main switch turned itself off. I had been using washing machine prior to it going off. I was worried about the freezer as I have been done with that before and lost everything about three times now. But we are back on now.
