I have now got Ann back home and although she is in considerable pain she is pleased to be here. Virtually no sleep last night but ironically she is now fast asleep in her chair. DIL has been a star bringing little treats to the hospital, with the food she brought Ann has hardly touched the hospital food. Feels so good to have her home where I can look after her.
I have just had total knee replacement on the 2nd knee which after only 3 weeks I am doing very well. I was only in hospital 3 days and day after op was quite nauseas not eating anything. I found that all the drugs they pump into you had an effect. Since being home I have had 1 paracetamol before bed plus my pain patch and find that is sufficient. As has been said, she must do the exercises even though they cause pain. Best wishes to her for a speedy recovery.
Pleased for you and Ann, best wishes for her speedy recovery. This thread has made me feel a bit better actually as my father in law had his knee replaced on Saturday and came out yesterday but he was in a lot of pain and lacking sleep plus has an upset tum - looks like it's par for the course.
