She said that she get hired by Givenchy now and again through out the year for a few weeks block. She also did weddings and parties etc... so maybe it would be worth doing that.
Just go to a make up counter and pretend your interested in buying something. Then they might ask you if you want to get your makeup done by one of (X) brand of makeup and then ask a bunch of questions when your getting your make up done.
hello,
well i have been a make-up artist ofr 7 years and im one of the lucky ones.. its hard to find work but if weddings is your thing i say go for it... it is true most of your work will be on a saturday but its a lovely way to spend your day. Brides can be hard work and you often have to change your idea for the hair style that morning.
My advise for you would be to not spend your life savings on a course that only lasts 3 days as its all about life knowledge. You will have to spend time learning yours skills... Also do 2 make-up and hair trails before the big day as ots a very hard tome for dome Brides..
If you can do hair your also on to a winner as their are hundards of make-up artists out there you need to know a little bit more.
well i hope this helps
thanks everyone, was thinking more along the lines of bridal make up - as i paid a fortune for mine and my bridesmaids, and she was only in the house for 3 hours - perfect for working around my daughter !!
just wondered what sort of income i could expect, would i be booked up most saturdays, advice on where to advertise etc etc
