I've had a virus and I've got a cold. Heart rate last night was 104 when I was at out of hours.

I've just came of a hypo about 20 mins ago but checked it as the Dr told me to try keep an eye on it 111. Is it just because I've so much going on?

I feel so sorry for you having to monitor your health, Queenie. It must be awful. I can't help with the heart rate but I do feel for you.
The hypo and the virus may both be contributing to an elevation along with some anxiety, try to relax and see how you go.

If in doubt seek help.

Thank you Tilly. Needs must I'm afraid.

I'm just really run down just now, but I'm trying really hard to keep things as simple as possible and relax more.

I just feel so much better than last night though!

Thank you Mamya.

I've been relaxing most of the day. Slept until 10.30 and been sitting watching telly and gently pottering. I'll keep an eye on it and see what happens.
Yes, best idea.
Last night of 104 was a bit high, due certainly to your virus.
The hypo that you had today would certainly explain 111 beats a minute.
But why did you go hypo?
Did you increase your Insulin to counteract your virus infection.
No big deal at the moment, but i agree with your DR, keep an eye on your heart rate AND your blood sugar.

Thanks Sqad.

I don't know why I hypoed. I worked my carbs out dosed 5 mins before I ate corrected and got dumped (19 to 4) trying to get sugars to stabilise been all over the place for 2 weeks now :( even my nurse is stumped.

Will keep an eye on it all though :)
LOL...good girl.

Down to 98 this morning - yay :)
My type 1 diabetes is VERY well controlled, rarely straying from where it should but if I get a virus it all goes to hell big time, so I can absolutely relate to you getting dumped. Just gently do your best with it and correct as you can. Just whatever you do don't ever get Norovirus, I couldn't even keep water down and it played havoc with my diabetes no matter what I did.

I was pretty good until a few weeks ago. New insulin has me doing all sorts. Up down never where I want to be. Back in with my nurse next week so I'm going to demand basically this gets sorted as I'm sick of it.
Wee bit late I had Norovirus about 6 years ago. But I couldn't get my sugars down then but I was being sick so quickly I couldn't get time to get insulin in my system. My parents had to back me up the nurse didn't believe me.
I've also got a cold which isn't helping but I'm doing ok.
But well done - I love meeting new T1s :)
