Hi

I’m 27 weeks pregnant with my first and for the last month or so my Pelvis has felt weird, almost unstable.

It’s worse when turning in bed, I feel like it will snap in half.

Sometimes it’s agony but not all the time.

Is this normal? Do I need to see someone?

Thanks

If you are in pain with it, you need to see your GP!!
It sounds like your pelvic joints are loosening ready to stretch to accommodate the baby. Did you know that the pelvis is not one solid bone? Its normal but if its painful them talk to your midwife or doc...you make need to be a bit more careful about what you are doing.

here you go.

I have no kids myself but Sis was a midwife
If you are concerned about anything at 27 weeks you should see a dr. You shouldn't be worried about a thing at this time.
No big deal.... Wolfgang is spot on
I'm 27+2 and I haven't experienced this yet. I've had the most unimaginable bloating in recent days, despite eating no carbs. Each day has been an uphill struggle if I'm honest.

I'm always around to swap stories or just chat.

Thanks all!

Congrats NoMercy - hope it eases, ive been pretty miserable the last few days with stomach aches and generally feeling crappy. Must be a 27 week thing.
Get yourself referred to a women's health physio who can sort you out with advice, support belt and gentle exercises.
Talk to your midwife/ gp.
Oh by the way it is a big deal, its bloody painful .
Great news Greedy... I've missed you. Hope you get it sorted and feel better soon. Keep us posted on Baby. xxxx
I had it with my middle child. Turning over in bed and then walking. Walking was very very painful to start with but eased up with each step. It's very painful and not much could be done (things might have changed)

It's always best to see your midwife though.

Sam - most of the aches and pains come in later pregnancy.

NoM - are you sure it's bloating?
And Anne, I agree, it is a big deal being in that much pain.
To be fair to Sqad, I think when he says no big deal he means not life threatening to mother or baby....its a surgeon's POV.
Thanks woody... Both ummmm and Asquith know what I mean but it gives them a chance to show their subtle sniping techniques
No...it's not a snipe and I know what you mean but that doesn't mean every user of AB does. It sounds dismissive.
I don't " do" sniping technique's " ( whatever they are ) ?
Yes you do, Anne.
