What is the best/worse christmas present youve ever received?

Hmmm.

I'm sure that if I delve into the depths of my cupboards I could find a few things which have lain there, untouched and unused, since they were given to me decades ago but the only thing which comes to mind at the moment is a set of locks for sash windows. (My house didn't have sash windows!)

One year my husband bought me a pair of oven gloves, a plastic shopping bag and a cd that I was going to buy anyway and wondered why I wasnt thrilled to bits!

A can of de-icer and an hatchet, both of the same person and wrapped up together.

I got some smoked bacon once (it was nice bacon but not really present worthy).

I haven't had a bad one unless you include not getting anything at all :-)

I can remember one year my mum had a present and when she opened it there was a box and on it was written yardley red roses. My mums eyes lit up and she said ooh yardley, how lovely. When she opened the box inside was a cotton apron.

A radio/tv times holder!! Basically it was made of cardboard and looked like a kid had decorated it.
I don't even buy the tv times!!

First year married, strapped students, he bought me the Robert Carrier Cookery Cards, I'd never even heard of half of the ingredients, Bolton Fish market never had turbot!
Not a Christmas present but for my 50th birthday he bought me a Terry Chocolate Orange, something I loathe as well.

Not mine, but my Mum used to be the administrator at a Convent School. The nuns bought her a blood pressure machine for Christmas!

Worst a pair of hideously oversized green silk pjs

My worst was a fur hood with 2 strings and fur bobble at the end hanging off each side. I despised it(from my mum when I was about 14).

I could win this hands down with one word, but I might save it for later...

I had the Evel Knievel Stunt Bike that (According to the ad) would do all sorts of, well, stunts, and it was rubbish. You wound it up and wound it and then it would fall over as soon as it got to the bottom of the ramp.

Another year I got the Race `n' Chase set (A bit like Scalextric), but one of the cars didn't work properly. My Parents wouldn't do anything with it, so I was stuck with it. These days, it would have been back in the box and back to the Toy Shop on Boxing Day for an exchange or refund.....
