Does it help alleviating arthritis, or is it an urban myth?

What on earth is a liberty bodice ?
Myth or not, [rural rather than urban in our case] glucosamine appears to have helped Mrs. M. She thinks it cured the arthritis that she had 20 years ago. But if any one wants to try it, no good taking it for a week or two. Take it for say 4 months and then decide.
I've taken it since a child off the spoon then, now in capsule form, I suffer with osteoarthritis so it hasn't helped me, but maybe if I was to stop taking it I may suffer more, who knows, one thing I do know I am often told my skin and hair are very good, so maybe it's helped with that.
I take glucosamine and chroidin (sp) in the one tablet. And I found when I run out of them and didn't take them for a week or two - joint pain came back. Hollands and Barretts are massive bullets so hard to get down so I get mine in Boots but they cost around £16.00
