Name That Film...?

This is a long shot but someone may have heard of this movie. I watched it probably 10+ years ago. I don’t recall it ever being a release I’m sure it was a direct to dvd film and it was showing on one of the movie channels. It was about a guy who was famous for either being an actor or a sports man. He lives in a mansion and doesn’t have the best relationship with his kids from his first marriage, he re-married a younger woman and had kids with her. The focus of the movie is that he gets diagnosed with a terminal illness and it’s about his relationship with his older kids and he still doesn’t treat them the best despite this terminal illness. That’s as much as I can remember. I’d love to know the title of the film. I don’t recall there being any actors in the film that I’d remember. I have a feeling the leading male actor was possibly called Michael in the film
