Pregnancy Woes

Hi all
I am now 40 +5 days and will be seeing my consultant this week re possible induction.
Today I’ve woken up and baby has moved up rather than down.
The bottom of my stomach is soft and baby is now as high as can be.
Up until now Baby was moving the right way and was very much in my Pelvis - I’ve been in agony for the last two weeks due to pelvic pain.
Why would she move up rather than down?
Thanks
GF

If GF is 5 days overdue and baby is not head down, I think she should communicate with her midwife. She'll only get b0ll0cked if she didn't and problems arose.

NoM....LOL.
We are not talking about your pregnancy, we have been presented with a primip who's pregnancy has been normal and now, the head is high unlikely at this stage due to a change of position i.e it is still head down but high.
The majority...the vast majority of these patients will deliver vaginally.
So, I ask again....what is the rush?

It has been less than straight forward throughout unfortunately. If she has moved up then she has moved past my placenta and the big fibroid so we can only hope she pushes passed them again.
I spoke with the midwife, she’s given me some exercises to encourage baby back to position.
She was concerned that baby might have moved sideways which would be a problem as NoM has mentioned. It doesn’t seem that way but she did advise if waters break to call the hospital straight away just in case.
As said before I do have an appointment to see a consultant again so I assume if she hasn’t budged by then he’ll make the decision on what to do next.
Thanks all
