Suite Of Furniture

Bought above about 3 months ago - it's not too bad except at the head part - it juts out too much resulting your head not comfortably resting. Is there anything I can do to sorta get it "thinned".

Maybe put cushions behind your back to bring your posture forward. Destuffing the top is a major job & only for an upholsterer

Oh I know I couldn't do it but was wondering could a local upholsterer.

My sista's suite is so unbelievably comfortable and old - when I visit I just collapse into luxury.

I have now perused the net for about 3 days and have come across an exact replica of hers. I may buy it and get it recovered.

But what shall I do with the current suite - there are literally 1,000s of them for sale. Ah well. Thanks Tambo for your answer.

Get a charity shop to come and collect it.

If the suite does not have the relevant fire retardant safety labels on it, the Charity may not take it away.

I'd try the cushion solution behind your back for a bit- or wear a thick fur-lined hood. If it's still uncomfortable and if you spend quite a bit of time at home then maybe you should replace it

It has been known that the labels have become detached. Hope this is not the case with this one?

I didn't tab down far enough so missed some replies. If the replacement one is an attractive price I would probably buy it and try to sell yours. I have sold some furnitur on ebay but you can be stuck with two suites for a while.

Yes it was bought new
Yes the fire retardant labels are attached as was my last suite of 10 years - label still attached.

I did Minty - that cushion would sorta push me out too much - maybe off the furniture altogether LOL - a little hard to explain.

Think I may go down the route of the second suite.

If you remove material from rear of chair (carefully, dont tear it) you can access the head area to de-stuff.
