Anyone had any experience of doing these exercises? I'm looking for tips as to how I can carry them out without feeling so nauseous.

are Cawthorne Cooksey exercises gentler and better tolerated? http:// www.wsh .nhs.uk /CMS-Do cuments /Patien t-leafl ets/ENT /6332-1 -Cawtho rne-Coo ksey-Ex cercise s.pdf
I had the Epley maneuver performed on me a number of years ago...made me feel awful. But, my symptoms were reduced quite a bit. Now, I seem to have bad spells after a cold...I've had some the past six weeks. Mostly when putting my head down at night...and my head swimming. But a few days ago, I had a few whoppers when tipping head forward or back. You know when you want to grab the wall to steady yourself...
A doctor at my local surgery will perform the Eplay manoeuvre (sp ?). Fortunately I've never had vertigo bad enough to go to him but I've heard he gets good results. I wasn't brave enough to do the B-D exercises myself. When I get vertigo, which fortunately has been less often lately, I just try not to do much and keep my head as level as I can. It does go eventually. It is such an awful feeling and do sympathise. I know the hanging on to the wall and the side of the bed feelings very well!
