Should we be concerned ....my husband is recovering from radiotherapy and over the past couple of weeks, his temp has dropped from normal (36.5) to 35.0 ....he's not mentioning feeling cold, and we'll check it when we see his oncologist next week and it may well be quite normal at this stage of recovery, but ........
I'm sure that medically qualified folk, such as Sqad, will answer in due course, but what I would do is monitor it tonight...see what his temperature is in the morning, and if still under, call your GP surgery for advice. They may suggest he attends an appointment rather than triage with a doctor.
He may be suffering from hypothermia so maybe it's better if you call 111 for advice tonight. You can then rest easy once discussed with a professional medical doctor or nurse. Hope he gets better soon.
Seems rather odd.
Is he shivering? mentally confused? Slow pulse rate?
If all the above are normal, then not to worry.
I suppose that you are taking his temperature under his arm, which tends to be lower than true body temperature.
Monitor the situation.
Thank you both ....I take his temp in his ear, and no there's no shivering, confusion, etc.
His temp was monitored all thru the treatment, being very aware of any heightened temp and the problems associated with that.
I've just continued to watch it, now he's in recovery and I've noticed it's slowly dropped a degree or so ...he's feeling pretty lousy with the after effects and i guess that could be part of it.
