I was tidying up earlier and managed to what one of my front teeth with a heavy glass lid from the slow cooker. That was three or four hours ago and there is no indication that it is going to fall out but it still hurts.
Is it safe to assume that it is just 'bruised' by the impact and that it will be safe to eat something?
I am surprised that there was no more damage (apart from my brain whirring around in my skull) because it hit me with quite a strong force.
Sorry to be a damp squib, but, depending on age I suppose, it may not heal itself. 5 years ago Mr J2, trying to put a 6ft fence post in the ground, somehow miscalculated and dealt himself a hefty blow to the front of his mouth. Over the next week or so I watched, horrified, as one of his incisors descended and eventually fell out.
Based on this experience - Iwould consult a dentist.
It's still a bit sensitive but I don't think that it will fall out. I hate going to the dentist so I will go there only as a last resort. I can only take Paracetamol but I have been taking them - not that they are doing much.
Tilly, I can't honestly say that it hurt much - it was more sensitive or tender. It only feels sore when I remember about it. ☺
I have tired myself out today sorting, grouping, valuing etc donated postcards for my voluntary job. I have one from 1908 that it in better condition than me ☺
