I'm sure they'll replace him with a Manager or two. Hallelujah, our NHS is saved!
That will teach him to "mind his own business" and not criticize his colleagues.

But is he or isn’t he?

Racist that is?

You can be a brilliant doctor and be a bigot. The states are not mutually exclusive.
just what we were talking about on the other thread. This guy dares to criticise other doctors abilities at the job, wallop, out comes the race card!

At this stage, we have only half the story, and that’s what he has presented to the tribunal.

It’s entirely possible that there is more to this story, but we will only kno what that is when he has been cross examined.

Right now, it’s like being a member of a jury and deciding that the person in dock is definitely innocent, because he’s looked us in the eye and said, “I didn’t do it.”

"You can be a brilliant doctor and be a bigot. The states are not mutually exclusive."

And, whisper it, you can hail from the sub-continent and be an aloof, skiving article, unable to carry out your duties properly and still be bullet proof, apparently.

We'll see, eventually. Maybe. If the horses haven't been too scared.

Undoubtably. And if the reporting process used in each case is well documented, robust and if the reports were assessed by a third party (as they surely should be), then he should be in a pretty strong position.

Take for instance the doctor accused of failing to be able to operate an ultrasound - could he or couldn’t he? If he couldn’t, was it part of his core competencies (eg. what is his speciality)?

These are pretty straightforward questions that all have binary answers. If the doctors were previously found wanting by the hospital trust, there would be documentation supporting this chap.

If not, then his case is weakened.
If he was awarded “Doctor of the Year” I rather suspect that of all the foreign staff working with him (and we know how the NHS depends heavily on foreign workers), few could have perceived him in the same way as his three accusers – in which case their competence and their agendas need to be examined thoroughly and honestly – and the treatment he’s received is quite shameful.

Exactly. We all know racism is the new Witchcraft. If there's someone you want to punish or get rid of, it's usually enough to simply make the accusation whether there's any evidence of it or not*.

(*See also communism in 50s America).
Need to hear the rest before comment on his dismissal but this is very worrying:

" after his £200,000 salary was slashed by £36,000 over unproven allegations."

Whatever happened to innocent until proved guilty?
When others know you are right or have a point and they dont know how to answer or dont have an answer of any merit then they always resort to screams of "racist"...
Remember, this is just one side of the story. Right now, we’ve heard submissions from his brief. Once we hear the arguments submitted by the health authority, we will be in a better position to form an opinion.

It should be noted that the tone of the article (as presented) is set to elicit a specific response (how could we
question the professionalism of a man named ‘doctor of the year’)?

I think it behaves us to treat literally everything we’re presented with by the mainstream media as being essentially...dodgy.
For ‘behaves’ read ‘behoves’.
Have you been off world SP? These days if you criticise a non white, wallop, out comes the race card and you are the bad guy. What planet have you been visiting?

As I said, it's usually enough to make the allegation. Everyone involved is so petrified of being seen to side with the alleged witch/communist/racist that they go along with the mob to avoid becoming a target themselves.

That being said, sp is right. We have one side of this story, and it is in the Mail. I'm talking about the general principle of playing the racism card to attack an enemy.
Poor man, I think it's a shame.
