I have already embarked on my Christmas shopping, but with Hubby being abroad on and off from now until Christmas and me having 5 kids at home being home ed'ed there is not much chance of me christmas shopping for them or anyone else on the sly.

There fore, I am interested to know of any mail order companies that you folks out there use, your favourites and your non-favourites, ones to stay clear of. Mail order for anything at all: gifts for granny to toys for toddlers. Anything at all.

Cheers and Merry Christmas!

well now youve asked something! lol. Amazon.co.uk sell almost everything! I buy from them all the time and ive never had any problem with them. Play.com for books, dvds, ps games etc. are good too. Have used marks and spencers website too and they were prompt on delivery and have some good offers on there too at the moment. Found this site the other day but havent ordered anything from them so cant really tell you much about them except it looks they have some fab things on there http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/. Hope this helps. Happy Christmas to you too! lol
Argos do home delivery which must be handy for kid presents

it is a good one vinny, i almost bought that for my sister but thought she would break it in her haste to get at the wine, lol

the remote control shark is my favourite

Many companies such as Iwant1 have a great selection, but why must the price be so deceptive. I was interested in a massager at 7.99 but had to read on to find I had to pay extra for batteries and for delivery - both rather essential. So the first impression of 7. is raised by 3. batts and 4. delivery to become 14. in round figures - SOME DIFFERENCE. Contrast this to my favourite on-line store www.formint.co.uk where a similar sort of item (cheapest vibrator) says it costs 4.50 and thats it!. Batteries are always included, delivery is free AND you get free Intimate Lubricant (something you may not think of but is a welcome addition).
I have too have 5 children, oh the deep deep joy of shopping with them.
Already have many of my christmas presents from Ebay.
it is fanatastic but you need to understand it be careful of people trying to scamyou, though people with high feedback scores are no problem. I regularly buy things and they are delivered then next day and no parking fees
Good luck

added to favourites and am virtually window shopping. compiling a list of lists, which I shall then wittle down. I guess the art in all this is to try and buy as many people's presents from the same site as possible!

Thanks for taking the time for me to answer, I really appreciate it. You guys are just a bunch of stars!!!!!!!

Merry christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!

you could use ebay

I've used http://www.initialideas.co.uk/ quite a few times, always something a bit different. I've already started my Christmas shopping for this year and have already received the shoe jewellery boxes I ordered from this site for my nieces.

Avoid Argos at all costs! I have had a nightmare with them recently and very nearly had to take legal action!

They dont deliver the stuff and then refuse to refund you! Took me months to get my money back!

I know you already had loads of replies but i wanted to tell you Boots are brilliant...have used them for ages and they have loads of 3 for 2 offers especially on kids toys at the mo...have fun and enjoy Christmas without the stress...I have managed to avoid the shops at manic time for 3 years.thank God!! xx

cool, you guys rock....as before!

Doesn't matter that there are lods, I expect there are loads more, I shall be keeping a list. I do not plan to step one foot into any shop to 'christmas shop' this year. SHould help the budget too.

I shall check out the ones stated, and advoid those recommended too (i've heard others say poor things re argos too actually, that rings a bell!)

cheers everyone, keep 'em coming.
