How do I go about finding out if someone has died. He lived in Spain (expat) for about thirty years in a place called ciu de la Quesada, Rojales. (hope I have got that right) and he was very active in local politics. The only thing I have found is a piece in the local paper 2011. Rather a long time ago. Would appreciate any help given. And yes, for anyone interested, I am still alive (91 soon),
It's Ciudad Quesada. Lots of British expats there. Are you on Facebook? There's a community page for the town on Facebook which might be worth posting on to see if anyone knows/knew this person. Link to page: https://en-gb.facebook.com/TalkQuesada/
Hi Starone, Paginas Blancas is a good starting point, literally Spanish White Pages, just put his details in and try your luck. Hope you find him and if you need any further help then please ask x http://blancas.paginasamarillas.es/jsp/home.jsp
Thanks a lot for your help everyone. Hi Mamyalynne. Nice to see a familiar name. I am not on Facebook, but my daughter is so I can ask her to have a look. In the meantime I will try the Spanish White Pages. Will let you know if I find out anything.
Hi everyone, So as Gill suggested my brother emailed the editor of the Costa Blanca News, who very kindly replied with details of my cousin. He unfortunately died in 2016, which is sad, but at least we know now what has happened to him. Apparently he was known quite well because of his interest in local politics. I would like to thank you all again for your kindness - you never fail me.
Yes - it closes a chapter in my life. He was born one month after me, so would have been 91 in August, had he lived. Oh, well, there you go. I'm aiming at 100 myself and was hoping to have some company, but looks as if I shall have to do it on my own.
