Some of you might remember me telling you about my neighbours one side who have their trampoline literally next to my fence, and the kids just bounce up and down the whole time staring at us and talking about us. Well the parents decided that the schools here aren’t good enough for their cherubs, and the area isn’t good enough ,and so applied to go to one about half hour away. They were told that they would have better chance if they lived locally. So they put their house on market, put in offer for house locally to school, and applied to the school.Their house has sold. Buy has gone through. Moving day is literally today. Saturday they get letter from the school - they’ve been rejected! Oops!

Perhaps when they applied they used their current address. Re-applying using their new address, which is in the school's catchment area, will probably do the trick.
Morning smow xxx Shot themselves in the foot by the look of it then. :o}
They may just have been too late. All the folk I know with kids have had their places allocated already.

No they used new address. So now they are moving half hour away, kids break up school this week and they have no new school places, so they may potentially have to travel half an hour (double in the morning) across Greater London to get their kids to their old schools here! (Morning !)
Haha! I love that! I jumped through hoops to get my son into the local Catholic school. I'm atheist, but I had my son Christened in order to better his chance of getting in. [Sorry, I know. I'm a terrible person.] He didn't get in.

Glad your annoying neighbours are going anyway, Smow.

I’m now waiting with baited breath to see who moves in. And I’ve just noticed that the trampoline is still in their garden!! Do you think I could shimmy over fence when they leave and move it??.
Ahhh, that's a shame. All good parents try to do the best they can for their children.
I think I would do that, Smow! Go for it!
lol get over there and demolish it ! shame about the school but hey ho...

I know what you mean Naomi but the schools here are good! It’s just a snob factor. He works full time, she works 2 days a week and they have a live in au pair! (Don’t even ask - it’s mad).
Cloverjo - could be a tad awkward if I get stuck and new guys arrive and see me stranded in their garden, trying to drag a trampoline 6 foot! LOL
Well Smow, I've been considering a change of scenery.

Well good morning happy chops!!
''they’ll been rejected''

They'll bounce back.
In hindsight, maybe you should have tried sunbathing naked and accused them of being peeping toms?
Question Author
Now why didn’t I think of that! Lol
