How Can A Man Be A Lesbian?

Can someone please explain that to me? This whole gender issue is becoming more and more confusing.

LGBT campaign group Stonewall is under fire from within its own quarter, with over 100 lesbian campaigners objecting to its support for radical transsexual ideas.

Lesbian Rights Alliance (LRA) published an open letter decrying the idea that men can become women and wrote that Stonewall backs the concept of male-bodied people being lesbian, refusing to allow any debate on the issue.

Additionally, the government has launched a consultation on the Gender Recognition Act which could see safeguards for legally changing sex removed and Theresa May has indicated her support for ‘self-declaration’ – where people may legally change sex simply by announcing they are of the opposite gender.

Incidentally, London Mayor Sadiq Khan is backing the idea of gender-neutral toilets which critics say will remove a safe space for women and girls. Not sure the ladies in burqas will be too pleased with the idea either.

If you can change Gender by just making an announcement, then surely you can then announce you are now lesbian?

A man cannot be a lesbian physically Naomi, but, in this day and age all must accept how a person identifies.

I personally identify as a lesbian therefore I must be accepted as such.

The gender one feels one really is, is a different issue to the gender one feels sexually attracted to. If you are going to believe the miswired brain defines gender, rather than genes/physical body, then you come the conclusion that there are lesbians trapped in a male body.

If the definition of a lesbian is someone who desires sex with a woman I suppose that most men are lesbians.

A man who identifies as a woman but still wants to be sexually engaged with women after reassignment could justify using the term but otherwise I would say no. Ditto a woman to man who still prefers men would after reassignment be considered a gay man. Again I believe until you start making steps to transition it is not enough to self declare. At least you should be at the dressing and living in your psychological gender.

OH this is getting ridiculous now, why does everyone appear to need a label and then get upset if they are not addressed as so.

Do what you want with whom ever you please but why do you feel the need to let the world know which way they swing they are really not any more interested than if I was to 'boast' that I'm hetro and have sex with my husband!!

That is the point naomi, it does and there is little one can do to disposed it. There are no blood tests, no genotypes, no X-Ray appearances to back up your claim.
Anyone can present themselves to the correct medical superficiality,announce that you are in the wrong sexual body type, convince them and you are in the Club.
Simple as that.
