Flu Vaccinations.
22 Answers
Mrs T and I both had our jabs today.
I am fine but the love of my life is complaining of a sore arm.
Sadly, although I offered to, the pretty young pharmacist refused my offer to take all my clothes off to accommodate the vaccination process.
Never mind.
Mrs T bought me 4 Fosters for being a good boy, not crying or embarrassing her.
There is always tomorrow though!

Usually I'm fine (I've had them since well before 'free' age because as a teacher I was on 5 sets of antibiotics a year!) last year I had a couple of feverish days and it turned out the vaccination was the wrong one. Bit worried about this year.
Shame she wouldn't do the vaccination in your bottom. Never mind.

I had mine booked for 30th October some time ago but had an urgent need to bring that appointment forward. Phoned my surgery to request one a lot earlier and they agreed to do so and promised to phone me back.
After 2 days waiting I called them again and was told they had to make sure they had the vaccine in. I thought this was unlikely as they were running an earlier clinic in just 4 days time. Again they promised to phone me back.
Another 2 days passed so I decided to visit the surgery and ask in person. On the way out I met my neighbour and pulled over for a chat. I explained I was about to do battle with the surgery and she immediately offered me her husband's appointment for 6th October. She went home, phoned them and told them to give me his cancellation.
5 minutes later I received a text confirmation of the appointment and they included the usual line about each missed appointment costs the NHS £150! What a blooming cheek.

I've had real 'flu three times. It is not funny. You are very, very ill.
After a visit to Paris on my 60th birthday OH and I contracted bird flu - our doctor told us to stay at home and keep quiet to avoid panic. Fortunately we took it in turns to be compos mentis and let the dogs out, but it was a good 6 weeks before either of us was relatively normal. Get whatever jab is on offer folks!
