No friends/family to deal with. No phone/internet/tv/radio etc. Just a week on your own...basically solitary confinement. You could have books to read or music to listen to and essentials like food, toiletries but no human interaction WHATSOEVER.
Could you do it?

(prediction...most, if not all replies will say yes, definitely! But really think about it. How many of us has spent more than a day alone without even a radio for company?)

Thanks.

No, absolutely not.
No.
yes done it for months
Only if i could hike
Yes, I could do it.
No problems. I like peace and quiet. I can cook, shop, sew and repair. I am not without love for my wife but I have done without her for the last week whilst she visited our Grand daughters in Dorset. Two weeks ago she came back from USA after a 3 week holiday .She puts the radio on first thing in the morning. When she is away I never turn it on. I learnt to survive and I enjoy my own company but also more than happy to engage in social intercourse. I am very pickey as to who I consider my friends though and don't suffer fools gladly. If I was sole survivor in a aircraft crash on a desert Island (Lost) I would treat it as a challenge and live very happily in splendid isolation. :-)
was a low point in my life so only thing i had was to keep 2 coke bottles of water full. You can live for 21 days without food but only 3 without water
Yup no problem
Easily

Yes, no problem at all, but I do prefer company.
Yes and I have done. Albeit I had a cat.
Of course. If I am allowed a drawing pen and my fav 600g paper - and a case of good vino.
no - that is why I dont go on holiday alone
and if there is only me ..... I dont go on holiday
Yes I could and occasionally do, I generally like company when I'm working (I'm on here for example the whole time I'm on the net) but when I have nothing online to do I'm perfectly happy in solitude with my books and art and so on x
//and a case of good vino.//
Ah DTC. Never thought of that when I wrote what a wonderful survivalist I would make on a desert Island. I know how to make a still to purify water with a plastic bag membrane in a sand pit so I guess I could soon fashion a contraption to distill coconut milk into falling down juice. Sorted.
yeah we had a fren' earlier ( much earlier - uni )
who went and lived on a glacier for a month
and we all asked each other - why?
me. and yes I could do it provided I had access to outdoors. I don't think I could be locked in a room for a week
all you need is the rum, retro....can the still be adapted.

As long as I don't have to share with two particular ABers - now that would be hell on earth. Don't even need fodder, as my past experiences did involve learning about foraging, insects et al plus the greens out there. Now the rum - cheers.

Don't mean to be pedantic, but re-read what I said. No INTERNET or TV or RADIO etc, nothing but ur own thoughts. (no pets either)..
Definitely and categorically yes.

In fact, having seen so many unworthy threads recently on AB I could crave for it quite easily - but possibly for longer than a single week.
