How can i tone up my tummy and get rid of my love handles (are sit ups the only way?) I am a size 10 but need to tone up a bit there

Try abdominal crunches --not quite as drastic as sit-ups-- but they do work,I have had the same problem but using a power-roller at my local gym has worked for me,along with other gym excercises.
Sit-Ups are not the only way, lifestyle and diet are also important, you can do 3000 crunches (sit-ups) a day and still not have the look ur going for. There are various variations on crunches which work different areas of ur stomach. go to and they have many ideas on how to tone up for a decent look.

I think the 'size 10' reference implies dozie is female! ;)

I will confirm your other information as correct though, I use a cradle to do around 1000 situps a week, which form a six pack but have no effect on the covering fat. Cutting out pizza di have an effect, I've so far lost 3 of the required 5-6 inches, and other aerobic exercise (as in running) will speed this process up. Male or female though won't matter, the rules are the same for both!
