Benecol Health Bars

I "take" Benecol summer fruits yoghurts - supposedly they do some good? - but I can't find any of their health bars. I usually buy from Sainsburys and Tesco. Any ideas on where else I could try - and do they do any good at all? Ta Muchly.

Morrisons have them. I'm not convinced by their health benefits but I guess they are healthier than a Mars bar

Okay hc and Sqad - and I think Sqad that you are or were a medical person, so is your agreement with hc to do with the bars or yoghurt as well?...am I wasting my money? Big Ta!

Well, the object of taking Benecol is supposedly to lower your blood cholesterol. LDL in particular as a high reading predisposes you to strokes and heart disease.......if you believe this and mainstream medics do. It seems to me that statins would do this much better than yogurt or bars, that is if you believe the relationship that I outlined above.
If you like the taste of Benecol bars or yoghurt.....then fine....but that is all i have to say on the subject.

Like all of these bars, the main ingredient is sugar, I feel that because of this health benefits are lost. Yoghurts are no difference unless you buy natural yoghurt and add your own low sugar fruit. the bars contain around 3 spoons of sugar in per bar
