Well, given that a lot of the targets used by HM Forces are of a running Russian soldier it’s not a million miles way from what they’re used to.

Already discussed on another Op today.
The marksmansip was pretty good but more practise required on the Mozambique methinks. :-)
See a bit of light relief from Brexit in news

Thanks retro.
Couldn’t see a story elsewhere on the site.
Daresay I’ve made the classic mistake of assuming that a story on the BBC News homepage might actually be posted in News on AB!
I take a more po-faced view of shooting at political targets.
I suppose the real mistake is videoing it

( the real sin of Sgt Blackman who moved out of the way of an 'ugly' to avoid being photo's
and also those idiots who snapped themselves body surfing on the bodies of Iraqi POWs)

or in 1945 where the GIs were snapped shooting German guards out of hand ( buchenwald I think)
Don't forget to mention the Isis scum filming their selves beheading innocent westerners, pp.
I wonder if this is the first time ever that some public personality's image has been placed on a dart board or target? I recall a particularly bad penalty taker having his photo used for a start.
in case anyone wonders about the ref to Moçambique
it is here by the way
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozambique_Drill

you know sort of AB
Moçambique o que é isso, então?
( = M what dat den?) but in portuguese
// Don't forget Isis scum filming their selves beheading innocent westerners, pp.//

I often attend a shoot where we have a target known as the Mc Queens Sniper Castle. It looks just like a desert outpost in Morocco with windows and battlements straight out of Beau Geste. One day we had an effigy of Osama Bin Laden popping his turbaned head between the battlements and window apertures. Oh how we laughed PP then the Seals did him for real and spoilt our fun. Back to the original 'running Hun' targets.' What dat den' says PP. :-)
Well, I've never seen or heard anything about British soldiers publicly beheading any Isis scum and filming it though, pp.
//or in 1945 where the GIs were snapped shooting German guards out of hand ( buchenwald I think)//
I suppose you happen to forget the GI's who were shot as POWs by the SS during the Battle of the Bulge Campaign PP.
Unlike you not to bring up the SS Malmedy massacre for a change.
Don't suppose Daddy told you about those did he. Pretty civilised in 'the bag' weren't it. What dat bag den ?asks PP.
Let those Paras have a laugh won't you. Next time they draw their Browning Hi-Powers or Beretta sidearms they may be facing oncoming rounds. Any one of the armchair critics want to step into their boots?
PP's point, which I agree with, is that we are supposed to be better than that.
//Let those Paras have a laugh won't you//

I don't suppose they are laughing now retro and it may get worse for them once the investigation is completed.

You don't seriously think the investigation is going anywhere do you?

I always find it funny that 99% of the ‘we’ couldn’t summon the courage to even walk through a recruitment office doorway.
Quote from Corbyn 'I need this like a hole in the head'.
I personally hope they don't manage to ID them, not to protect them , but in the hope it will go away and not bring even more bad publicity - further I hope it sends a strong message that if you're going to play silly games then make sure all pals with a phone are on message.

Don't even try to tell me it should be balanced against other horrors done before - it doesn't wash.
