Stopping Salt From Making Eyes Puffy?
10 Answers
I have low blood pressure and have found upping my salt intake helps a bit - i take it as andrews salts
however, this seems to make my eyes puffy, mainly underneath, so i have bags
any ideas how i can prevent that?
or make it go away easily?
thanks

Why have you got low BP.?
You need sodium chloride to raise your BP.
Puffy eyes have nothing to do with low BP or Andrews salts.
A real mess here joko........go to your GP and let him sort that out.....
Andrews salts are magnesium carbonate...which if anything, will lower your BP even further.

well the puffy eyes only happens when i have the andrews salts...
if i dont have it, i dont have puffy eyes.
i use it for my tum mostly, but have found it gives me a mild boost, which i assumed was because it was some kind of 'salts'.
ive always had low-ish BP - not in a danger zone, just always on the low side.

not trying to 'put you in your place' ... i was explaining the situation fully, so i didnt get what often happens here, which is loads of responses jumping to conclusions, going off on tangents and ignoring the question actually asked
i have seen the doc numerous times and they advise upping my salt.
the point of this post is not the BP - but the puffy eyes from the andrews salts ...

tilly, yes im just googling that. i didnt realise andrews doesnt actually contain standard salt - given its name!
i do have various proper allergies such as animal fur, feathers, mould, dust, formalin, as well as a few food intolerances that cause belly aches, ibs, bloating etc - but something causes a strange reddening over my nose and and about an egg sized circle over my cheeks - havent managed to figure out what yet.
so allergy may well be the answer
im going to look into other similar products to andrews, such as enos and see if they offer any differences
