I went into hospital yesterday morning for hysteroscopy & biopsy, under general anaesthetic. At last, after being cancelled 4 weeks ago...
I was told after, it looked very suspicious and sent for an urgent histology. If its whats they suspect, we're talking full hysterectomy. I was a bit upset, but was told it's very curable. Anyway, the results might be back 7-10 days. I was told will have to have CT scan too.
Just needed to share as I feel a bit shocked. Hoping they're wrong! :-)
Well then you won't be wanting any more babies. Don't worry, they don't do it like the used to when my mother had it done 60 years ago. You will recover quickly and then it's all over.
Patsy, I had mine over 30 years ago when they kept you in hospital for a 10 day period, the operation is much more routine now , my friend recently had keyhole surgery and was out in 48 hours, you'll be fine , I can assure you , try not to worry too much xx
I'm sure everything will be fine Patsy, it's not a massive operation nowadays I don't think and you'll be right as rain in no time. Meanwhile lots of love and hugs x
A CT scan is routinely done prior to surgery in place of a chest x-ray and to make sure no other tests, apart from blood and urine, are needed. Try not to worry too much.
