Hi Trickie - was intrigued by your question a week or so ago (just seen it now). Did you take the plunge and have your hair cut. I'm also in the Watford area and have exactly the same dilema. ie. haven't found a decent hair dresser - nowadays they all just seem to do the same repertoir of styles that they know regardless as to what actually suits your face/hair etc. Let me know if you found a good one.

Question to the men out there - do you generally find long or short hair on a woman attractive. I'm only 5 ft and would like to be couragous enough to get my hair cut short but worry that the opposite sex might not find me too attractive as I might look like some boyish schoolkid or something!!!! Your views guys please on a postcard. - I won't even touch the blonde versus brown issue. Thanks. Vics

I am petite and I used to have short hair and it suited me. In fact short hair does suit petite woman because it stops us from being swamped with too much hair. I saw this in a magazine once. It showed pictures of big woman i.e tall, broad woman and said longer hair suits them. I have noticed this occasionally when I watch T.V how celebrities, newsreaders, actresses etc had a change of style and grew their hair. I cannot remember many examples except Gloria Hunniford grew her hair once and looked much better than having short hair. I have grown mine because I got bored with short hair. It has been a few years now since I had long hair and would like to get my hair cut short again but it needs courage to change it. What I have done is gone half way and had it cut to around to just below my shoulders first. If I pull my hair away from my face I look much better. Having short hair won't make you look boyish unless you wear baggy clothes. Wear nice tight fitting tops and you will look very feminie.
